Your voice is needed to make #FoodAllergyVotes heard and the national plan a reality.

September 28th at 12pm EDT: Understand the severity of your food allergy with Dr. Philippe Bégin

Dr. Philippe Begin
Dr. Philippe Bégin

Learn about what makes your food allergy severe in this session with Dr. Philippe Bégin. Register now.

With OIT becoming increasingly available, more is understood about the severity of allergic reactions. Insights have been gained through OIT, as it involves giving small amounts of an allergen in increasing doses until a person is able to eat a certain amount without triggering a reaction, so long as they are on this treatment.

Dr. Bégin is both a researcher and clinician, and he’s recognized as a leader in multi-allergen OIT. Dr. Bégin’s academic and clinical background makes him an expert on this topic.

This webinar will introduce you to the concept of thresholds (the lowest amount of a food allergen that can trigger a reaction), how co-factors and other mechanisms/therapies can lower the threshold at which one reacts, and an exploration on how they all relate to understanding the potential severity of food allergy. Discover why allergic reactions are only mildly uncomfortable for some, while with others they can be life-threatening.

Don’t miss your chance to hear from Dr. Bégin on this timely topic! Register now, and share with others, so they can also benefit from the session.
